Economic impact modelling and sponsorship intelligence using real EventZR platform data. (8 ECTS / 200 hrs)

Sustainable Experience Design & AI-Powered Practice

Sustainability frameworks (ISO 20121) and daily operational use of AI intelligence tools. (7 ECTS / 175 hrs)

Applied Strategy: Capstone, WBL & Professional Practice

A team capstone project, an 80-hour Work-Based Learning placement, and an Event IP seed pitch. (7 ECTS / 175 hrs)

Learning Outcomes

  • Apply the GETI methodology to assess destination competitiveness using real EventZR platform data
  • Construct defensible economic impact estimates for events of varying scale
  • Evaluate event tourism strategies from 6+ countries, identifying transferable principles and context-dependent variables
  • Demonstrate daily operational use of AI-powered intelligence tools (ZAR AI, Event Discovery, Demand Forecasting)
  • Design a sponsorship rationale and apply sustainability frameworks (ISO 20121) to real event scenarios
  • Complete 80 hours of Work-Based Learning, demonstrating competence in a genuine professional setting
  • Produce a consulting-quality capstone deliverable suitable for presentation to senior industry decision-makers

Triple Outcome

Graduates of the Professional Certificate are prepared for three pathways:

  • First Professional Role — Event Tourism Coordinator, DMO Research Assistant, Convention Bureau Analyst, or Tourism Development Officer

How to Apply

Applications are submitted through your chosen ISET partner university or awarding organisation. The certificate is co-branded with the delivering institution. Credits earned at T2 (30 ECTS) give direct entry to T4 (CETP) and up to 30 ECTS exemption toward T3 (Undergraduate Degree) in Year 1 — T5 (PG Diploma) requires a completed undergraduate degree or T3 first.
